FILM PROJECT DAY

Whether it's a documentary, a short film, or stop-motion – with a film project at school, your students will experience how to tell great stories using simple means.

Using a tablet, they'll shoot their own film and learn the basics of digital filmmaking. They'll plan scenes, direct, and take on camera, sound, and acting duties.

1. First, the students develop an idea and write a short script together. This focuses on storytelling, role distribution, and technical fundamentals.

2. Then it's time for the implementation: You film your scenes, take over camera, sound or direction – all on your own.

3. In the final step, they edit their video, add music and effects, and present their finished short film.

And this is what it sounds like in the end:

2. Stop motion

In this module, participants create animated films using clay figures, paper, or everyday objects. Frame by frame, an exciting story with visual effects emerges.

In this way, the students experience how much fun it is to tell stories with pictures – even without complex technology.

1. CineKids – From tablet to screen

Here, students create their own film – from the script idea to the acting and post-production. They learn how to achieve professional results using simple tools.

The focus is on teamwork, storytelling and the creative use of film technology.

3. Documentation

The students create their own report on a topic of their choice – from a survey to a soundbite. In doing so, they learn how to tell facts in an engaging way and stage interviews in a cinematic format.

In this way, they develop a feel for journalistic work, practice using cameras and microphones, and strengthen their media skills through authentic storytelling.
